Blessed with intelligence and common sense second to none we are a smart mother and not to be fooled. Back when Model photography to marketing is common sense. We were the top tog when Model Mayhem had around 3.5 million active members. Our two models were Leah#1 and Jessi #2 both models then we were the top tog per Model Mayhem because the site was about talent and not pretend success. There was an advice column that would have 8 to sometimes 25 or so responses and ours that would have over 2000 repsonses only to be removed from Model Mayhem. In almost every case even those who had a great business would ask “How do you know so much”? I grew upon with a family friends, and relatives with IQs in 180s and 190s but promise for model photographer its common sense and work ethic. We do not have competition when it comes to knowing how to succeed in glamour modeling. Jay with the white hair on Americas Next Top Model was always dead on. There are some very expensive modeling schools out there and if you have money to throw away fine. Reviewing their promo images and sample advice we do not see how they can truly help a model being a tiny tiny bit. All those books on posing we have seen (@40) are exactly WHAT NOT TO DO. Total scam if you ask us for those we have seen on Instagram. We sent messages to most we have seen and their responses show they knew even less than we expected.
So many with Fraud out there on Instagram saying PUBLISHED. Wanna do a debate? Why are you scamming models to photographers. Look at model.com and you want see the richest models in the world saying they are published even if they truly are published. DO those saying the are published understand what that means? Do they know all 3 in US and every photography association do not consider any magazine from Instagram, Facebook as published? Courts have never ruled against them from all we have heard for the last 50 YEARS!
Upon using Instagram we notice in 6 years not one single photographer who understands the purpose of a model image and how to attain that image or turn a model into a supermodel. Instagram is not a professional medium that we can get into anytime but it’s pop Warner at best. Instagram controls all and do not treat their customer base fairly in the least. Corrupt. A nice extra, but not a social site to bet your career on.
We are from New England and notice there is a big time click that does the exact opposite of what they should do for success and hire the exact opposite, Traveling to New York, LA for a new home does not help. Having an in inside an agency not a help for ultimate a customer be it a person buying images or hiring a model for their garment line need a great look and someone who has some idea

We see so many models giving modeling advice on the internet to Instagram. Hope you don’t assume they can help you. A few basics of real model photography.
All real professional models without exception have a website dedicated to their modeling to acting ONLY. If not, they sure as hell are not aware of how to attain success.
Do they have belly button rings, bangs, where bras, bad foundation, bad or no makeup?
Do their images on their portfolio stay completely on topic and not a social page?
Is there hair posed?
Fingernail polish colors are not random. There are basically 4 or 5 colors to be worn for almost all shoots. Basically not distract. Ona. case by case basis sometimes a few creative nail work is fine if they don’t distract.
We see many models and photographers posting video that are so what not to doVideo requires common sense and you should in all cases see a photographer giving direction if not a slice and cut and a cut to the makeup probably indicates a wanna be. Who is booking work because they have a typical makeup tray? Makeup being worn in each image is what matters. IF you want success start asking questions and learn your trade. There is so much money in modeling for those who work with real pros who can answer the questions above. Moving to New York or LA does nothing.
All agency models post almost all of their agency work on their agency portfolios. IF you see little there and no web site, chances are you are being fed some good bs. We have been shooting agency models since 1966 and their agencies want to show their models work. No separate model website. No real signs of success, ask questions. Watch for name brands. We see model pretenders say some pretty crazy irrelevant statements for advice including what to have in their agency submission. Really? Any modell submitting an incomplete portfolio will certainly fail without luck and booking lots of runway work to be noticed. An incomplete port sells beginner who’s lazy and doesn’t understand their trade and that’s prior to looking at how the few images are shot. You want the very best dance of success.
